Islamabad. April 10 (APP): On the completion of fifty years of the Constitution, the foundation stone of the "Memorial Constitution" has been laid at Pardi Chowk. In this regard, the ceremony was held on Monday. Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf along with Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb laid the foundation stone of the memorial constitution along with a large number of parliamentarians. On this occasion, Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said that CDA will complete the memorial in D Chowk before August 14, 2023. He said that the adoption of the agreed constitution on April 10, 1973 is an important national milestone. The outline of the Islamic, federal, parliamentary and democratic constitution was given by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in his first speech. He said that I think after August 14, 1947, April 10, 1973 was the most important day when the consensus constitution was made. Most of the countries of the world have a constitution monument. Congratulations to Mian Raza Rabbani and his entire committee who decided to build the monument. Hope this monument will be completed soon. A nationwide competition will be held for the design of the monument and the design worthy of the constitution will be approved. Along with the memorial, a garden is also being constructed on the Constitution Highway, which will provide entertainment to the citizens. It is hoped that a proper tribute will be paid to the historical figures who signed the Constitution at the Constitution Memorial. The speaker said that the sanctity of the monument will be maintained. It is hoped that CDA will pay special attention to this. Addressing all the political parties, he said that let us overcome all differences and thank our benefactors. Later, the speaker of the National Assembly visited the Martyrs' Memorial located in the green garden of the Parliament and offered flowers. On this occasion, a special prayer was also offered for the country's development, prosperity, exaltation of the constitution and stability of democracy. The Speaker inaugurated a "photo exhibition" based on historical photographs related to the adoption of the 1973 Constitution at the Parliament House.\932
