ANF's anti-narcotics operations continue, drugs recovered, suspects arrested

Islamabad. May 22 (APP): Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) is continuing its anti-narcotics operations.

According to ANF spokesman on Monday, the accused resident of Khyber who was going to Qatar from Islamabad International Airport flight number PK 287 was arrested and 79 heroin and 11 hashish filled capsules were recovered from the accused's stomach. During another operation, 9 kg 600 grams of hashish, 7 kg 200 grams of opium and 2 kg of ice were recovered from a car near Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza and 2 suspects, residents of Peshawar and Nowshera were arrested. Lahore in Johar Town. 2 kg 560 grams of heroin was recovered from a parcel sent to London at a private courier office, the recovered heroin was hidden in the blankets, women's clothes and utensils of the parcel.

In another operation, while operating near Sohrab Goth, Karachi, 26 kg and 400 grams of hashish were recovered. A woman resident of Karachi and the accused were arrested. During another operation, ice was recovered from pipes hidden in a parcel carpet to be sent to Australia in a private courier office located on Shahrah Faisal, Karachi. The total weight of the pipes is 2 kg. During another operation, an attempt to smuggle drugs from Dera Ismail Khan to Punjab was foiled. 166 kg 800 grams of hashish and 7 kg 200 grams of opium were recovered from a pick-up on York Toll Plaza Indus Highway. The accused, a resident of Datta Khel, North Waziristan, was arrested. During the joint operation of ANF and FC in Khyber, plastic 11 kg hashish was recovered from the bags.

100 kg hashish was recovered from a car near Quetta Kuchlak Bypass. The accused, a resident of Quetta, was arrested, while after further investigation, the accused identified his other accomplices, after which the rest of the accused were chased to Qalat near Quetta Karachi Road. And 2 accused residents of Quetta were arrested and 1 vehicle was also seized. In another operation, 90 kg of hashish was recovered from a car near Quetta Kuchlak Bypass. The accused resident of Qil Abdullah was arrested. Cases have been registered against the arrested accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act and investigation has been started.
