Exchange of hundreds of prisoners in Yemen

The process of exchanging hundreds of prisoners between the Yemeni government and the Houthis has begun, in an important step amid the intensified efforts to end the conflict that has been going on in the country for 9 years. The exchange process, which began on Friday, will continue for 3 days, within the framework of implementing the plan agreed upon by the parties at the last meeting of the Supervisory Committee for the Implementation of the Detainee Exchange Agreement, which was held in Switzerland last March. The parties pledged to meet again in May to organize more exchanges and releases.
