An eighty-year-old Saudi begins his journey in climbing the Himalayas with the aim of reaching the summit of Everest

Saudi octogenarian Abdullah Al-Quwaiz published video clips documenting his journey to climb the Himalayas with the aim of reaching Everest, the highest peak in the world, with the help of two tour guides.

"When we reached the summit of the mountain 4,800 meters, on our way to the main camp – Everest – the temperature decreased and snow fell, and we encountered a number of signs indicating those who died in the place at different stages of time," Al-Kuwaiz said in a tweet on Twitter.

Al-Quwaiz posted on his official Twitter account pictures and clips of landscapes and scenes accompanied by groups of tourists of different nationalities who intended the same goal, which is to reach the summit of Everest, which rises 8834 meters above sea level.

"This morning is the promised day to reach the camp – Everest – the temperature is 17 below zero, the sun is shining, the road is passable, and we have to climb 400 meters for 6 hours," Al-Quwaiz wrote in another tweet, which he posted at dawn today.

In another tweet, Al-Quwaiz referred to the paintings that immortalized those who died in the place at different stages of time and were of multiple nationalities.

Tweeters praised Al-Quwaiz's will and ability to give, and set him as an inspiring role model in overcoming difficulties and challenging obstacles, including the age barrier.
