December 6 (APP): President of the country Dr. Arif Alvi has taken notice of the report of the ban on women's prayers and poor cleanliness in the Faisal Mosque and said that proper Islamic dress and head covering should be implemented in mosques around the world. Women are allowed to pray, Faisal Mosque is of religious and touristic importance but there is no separate place for women to pray in the main hall nor are they allowed to enter it. According to the Press Wing of the President's House on Tuesday, the President of the State expressed these views while taking notice of the special report of Dawn News on September 14, in which the prohibition of women offering prayers in the mosque, the poor condition of cleanliness and maintenance and the premises of the mosque. The presence of beggars was identified. The President said that weak and sick women face problems due to lack of lift, he questioned how women will be able to perform their prayers in the face of these restrictions. Dr. Arif Alvi said that in my opinion, women should be allowed to offer prayers at a designated place in the main hall, women should also be allowed to go to the main hall to appreciate the architectural beauty of this great mosque. The President said that this opinion of mine is based on the observation of the whole world, including the Haram Sharif. In its report to the President's House, CDA said that steps have been taken to improve the situation, under the policy of Dawat Academy, only one gallery is reserved for women, women are not allowed to enter the main hall.
