6.6-magnitude earthquake hits near the coast of the Russian Far East


The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center said that an earthquake measuring 6.6 degrees struck – today, Monday – an area near the eastern coast of the Kamchatka region in the far east of Russia.

The center stated that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 100 km.

The US tsunami warning system stated that there was no tsunami warning after the quake.
