Islamabad. April 10 (APP): The Senate approved by majority vote the resolution to hold the elections of the National Assembly and the four provincial assemblies together. Moved the motion to suspend the rules and present the resolution. The House approved the motion after which Senator Tahir Bizenjo moved the resolution. The resolution states that political stability is necessary for economic stability, the country cannot afford more political instability. Punjab is the country's largest state in terms of population and has the largest number of seats in the National Assembly, the first elections in Punjab will have negative effects on other smaller provinces. There is a need for political stability instead of confrontation, therefore the elections of the National Assembly and the four provincial assemblies should be held simultaneously. The federation will be strengthened by the joint elections of the national and provincial assemblies. The House unanimously approved the resolution.\932
