Real Madrid, Spain, took an important step towards qualifying for the semi-finals of the Champions League, by defeating its guest, Chelsea, with a clean double, at a time when Milan decided a purely Italian confrontation by defeating Napoli with a goal without a response.
In the first match at the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid achieved the most important and came out with a two-goal victory over Chelsea, by scoring a goal in each half, to go halfway towards reaching the semi-finals.
Frenchman Karim Benzema opened the scoring in the 21st minute, taking advantage of a ball that bounced off Spanish goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, after a shot from Brazilian Vinicius Junior.

Substitute Marco Asensio added the second goal in the 74th minute with a perfect shot from outside the penalty area, taking advantage of the numerical shortage in the ranks of the Blues, after his left-back Ben Chilwell was sent off in the 59th minute after his strong intervention on Brazilian Rodrigo.

In the second match at the San Siro stadium, Milan scored a victory over Napoli with a goal without a response, which he owes to his Algerian international midfielder, Ismail Bennacer, who scored the only goal with a powerful shot in the 40th minute.
