Milan turns the page on Ibrahimovic

A French report revealed the future of veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Milan striker, with the Italian league title holder next season.

Zlatan's contract, 41, expires with the Rossoneri on June 30, at a time when doubts remain about his continuation with the team.

And the French “ Foot Mercato ” website confirmed that the Milan administration is not considering extending Zlatan’s contract even if the player decides to stay.

And the French website added that Milan is hesitant about extending Ibrahimovic's contract due to the player's physical condition and the many injuries that plague him.

Given this information, if Ibrahimovic decides to continue competing in football, it will be with another team, not AC Milan.

Ibrahimovic underwent surgery on his left knee towards the end of last season 2021-2022, as a result of which he missed Milan in most of the matches of the current season.

Ibrahimovic returned to the stadiums on February 26, 2023, and appeared with Milan for the first time against Atalanta in the 24th round of the Italian League.

The veteran Swede scored his first goal with Milan against Udinese on March 18, for the 27th round of the "Calcio", becoming Zlatan the oldest player to score a goal in the history of the Italian League.

Ibrahimovic returned to Milan in January 2020, coming from the American Los Angeles Galaxy.

And the veteran striker previously defended the colors of Milan also in the period between 2010 and 2012.

Ibrahimovic wore the Milan shirt 163 times in all tournaments, during the two periods, scoring 93 goals in addition to 35 assists.

With Milan, the Sultan won two titles in the Scudetto, and a title in the Italian Super Cup.
