April 9 (APP): Punjab caretaker minister for industries and energy and well-known industrialist SM Tanveer was unopposed in Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) by United Business Group (UBG). The new patriarch has been elected. According to the spokesman, the central core committee meeting of the group was held here under the chairmanship of Shahzad Ali Malik to elect the new patriarch of UBG. The seat fell vacant after the death of veteran industrialist and business leader SM Munir. After a detailed discussion, the core committee unanimously nominated SM Tanveer, elder son of late SM Munir, as the new patriarch to head the group.
All the participants paid their respects to the late SM Munir and said that he had rendered great services throughout his life for the promotion of trade and industry. Speaking on the occasion, the new Patron Chief Provincial Minister for Industries SM Tanveer thanked the participants from all over the country for trusting him wholeheartedly and assured them that he would solve the problems faced by the business community. All possible efforts will be made and decisions will be made by taking all stakeholders into confidence in the process of policy making and achieving economic stability in the country.
