Islamabad. November 26 (APP): In a high-level meeting presided over by Federal Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq, it has been decided in principle to run the Green Line train from next month.
A detailed briefing was given to provide the best arrangements in the train. It was decided in the meeting that the Green Line train will be run as a superior service. This train will consist of 2 AC Parlor, 5 AC Business, 6 AC Standards coaches. The Green Line train will also have 4 to 5 economy class coaches.
The federal minister gave the administration the task of reducing the travel time of Green Line from Lahore to Karachi by 20 hours. According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Railways on Saturday, it was decided to provide the best travel facilities in the Green Line train.
On the direction of the Federal Minister, high quality food will also be given to the passengers in the ticket price. Apart from this, a separate LCD will be installed on each seat of the AC parlor so that the passengers can enjoy their favorite videos through headphones. A briefing was also given.
The Federal Minister was informed that 75% of the furnace foundation has been completed in the Mughalpura workshop and the furnace will be ready for testing by January 31, 2023. The operation of the electric arc furnace will increase the production of the steel shop and improve the quality. While giving a briefing about the illegal encroachments, DS Peshawar Nasir Khalili said that the encroachments in Peshawar Truck Adah, Hayatabad, Karkhano Market and Dalzak Road. has been deleted.
