In his video message on Saturday, the Finance Minister said that for the past few days, baseless and irresponsible rumors are being spread about the country's economy for political purposes and ambitions. Pakistan's economy, economic interests and relations are also affected in foreign countries, but these rumors also affect the affairs and transactions with our bilateral and multilateral partners and they get information about why their own people are talking about this.
The Finance Minister said that rumors are being spread that Pakistan will not be able to pay the one billion dollar sovereign bond (sukuk) in December, it is baseless and contrary to facts, Pakistan has never defaulted in its international payments and will never come close to it.
