People's Daily Online, London, November 23rd (Reporter Xing Xue) On the evening of November 23rd, hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and Zhejiang University, and co-organized by the European Center for Asia Special Exhibition of Song Paintings in Britain" opened at Asia House in London. Yang Xiaoguang, Minister of the Chinese Embassy in the UK, Peter Steele, Chairman of the European Center for Asia, Mark Logan, Conservative MP for Northeast Bolton, UK, Vice Chairman of the Parliamentary Cross-Party China Group, Mick Davis, Chairman of the Royal Society of Arts, Zhejiang, UK Huang Ping, president of the fraternity, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Chu Ziyu, director of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, delivered a video speech. People from the British art and media circles participated in the event.

The exhibition showcases ancient Chinese painting techniques, reflecting that culture is an inseparable part of people's lives.
Yang Xiaoguang, Minister of the Chinese Embassy in the UK, said in his speech that China and the UK are models of Eastern and Western civilizations, and both have made outstanding contributions to the history of world art, especially the history of painting. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the UK, it is hoped that through this exhibition, the British audience can further understand Chinese traditional culture and appreciate the charm of Chinese culture.
"Brush and Ink Painting Danqing·Landscape Painting Poetry" exhibits a total of 111 digital versions and replicas of high-quality paintings collected in "The Complete Collection of Song Paintings", including "Along the River at Qingming Festival", "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains", "Traveling in the Streams and Mountains" Picture", "Han Xizai Night Banquet Picture" and other masterpieces. The "Chinese Paintings of Past Dynasties" project was launched in 2005. It collected 12,405 sets of Chinese paintings from 263 cultural and museum institutions at home and abroad, and published a total of 5 episodes, 60 volumes and 226 volumes. After the "Xuanhe Painting Book" in the Song Dynasty and the "Shiqu Baoji" in the Qing Dynasty, it is the largest collection of Chinese paintings.
This exhibition is divided into four sections: "One Volume of Song Paintings: A Millennium", "The World of Hundred Crafts, Interesting Brush and Ink", "Colors of Five Lights, Graceful Four Seasons", and "Poetry of Ink and Wash, Love and Landscape". Through the special topics of landscape paintings, flower-and-bird paintings, and figure paintings in the Song Dynasty, a wealth of traditional Chinese paintings are displayed, reflecting the Song people's works of expressing their feelings with mountains and rivers and the unity of nature and man, and showing the delicate observation and lifelike painting skills of the literati in the Song Dynasty. Unique humanistic features.
At the same time, there are rich traditional Chinese cultural interactive activities at the exhibition site, including VR viewing experience, fan painting experience, tea ceremony performance, Song clothing display, etc., bringing the British people a perceivable, touchable, experienceable and shareable Song Yun culture. The exhibition presents the original flavor of the ancient paintings written by famous artists in the Song Dynasty to the British audience.
