Xinhua News Agency, Moscow, November 24 (Reporter Liu Kai) The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on the 24th that two Russian Tu-160 long-range strategic bombers completed a routine cruise in the neutral waters of the Barents Sea and the Norwegian Sea.
According to sources, the two bombers cruised for about 13 hours and were escorted by Russian MiG-31 fighter jets, during which they carried out aerial refueling. The Russian Ministry of Defense did not specify the specific time of the cruise.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that Russian military aircraft regularly fly over the neutral waters of the Arctic, North Atlantic, Pacific Ocean, Black Sea and Baltic Sea, and relevant flights strictly abide by international airspace rules.
