It is reported that the "Moscow" car plant plans to increase the production of cars to 50,000 in 2023 and 100,000 in 2024.
In March this year, the French company Renault decided to suspend operations in Russia. In May, Renault Russia's assets in Moscow were handed over to the Moscow City Government and included in the plan to resume the production of the old brand "Muscovites". In early June, Renault Russia changed its name to the "Moscovites" car factory. On July 6, the Moscow City Government signed an agreement with Russia's Kamaz Automobile Manufacturing Group to jointly produce passenger cars at the "Moscovite" automobile factory.
