"Under the new situation, we must work together to build an Asia-Pacific community with a shared future and create new glories in Asia-Pacific cooperation." On November 18, Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the 29th APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and delivered an important speech. On the banks of the Chao Phraya River, the inspiring Chinese voice pointed out the direction for opening a new chapter of Asia-Pacific cooperation.

The Asia-Pacific region accounts for one-third of the world's population, more than 60% of the world's total economic output, and nearly half of the total trade volume. It is the most dynamic growth belt in the global economy. Over the past few decades, economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region has developed vigorously, creating the "Asia-Pacific Miracle" that has attracted worldwide attention. At present, the situation in the Asia-Pacific region is generally stable, but at the same time, the world has entered a new period of turmoil and change. The combination of geopolitical tension and the evolution of the economic pattern has impacted the development environment and cooperation framework of the Asia-Pacific region. The rise of the Cold War mentality, hegemonism, unilateralism, and protectionism pose serious challenges to peace and development in the Asia-Pacific.

Where is the world going? What about Asia Pacific? This is a must-answer question for all economies in the Asia-Pacific region. In his written speech at the APEC Business Leaders Summit on November 17, President Xi Jinping summed up historical experience and lessons, reviewed the original intention of Asia-Pacific cooperation, and clearly stated: take the road of peaceful development, the road of openness and inclusiveness, and the road of solidarity and solidarity. In his important speech on November 18, President Xi Jinping put forward several suggestions: maintain international fairness and justice, and build a peaceful and stable Asia-Pacific; adhere to openness and inclusiveness, and build an Asia-Pacific of common prosperity; adhere to green and low-carbon development, and build a clean and beautiful Asia-Pacific; Adhere to a shared destiny and build an Asia-Pacific that supports each other. A series of clear propositions, in response to the challenges of the times, have guided the direction for strengthening cooperation and common development in the Asia-Pacific region.

To jointly promote the development of the Asia-Pacific, China has demonstrated its wisdom in taking responsibility. On the APEC platform, President Xi Jinping has repeatedly emphasized the importance of openness, cooperation, and development, promoting Asia-Pacific cooperation with China's propositions, and building consensus in the Asia-Pacific region with Chinese wisdom. From calling for an open economy and regional cooperation framework to promote the construction of the Asia-Pacific Free Trade Area in an open and inclusive spirit; From emphasizing the promotion of the implementation of the 2040 vision to building an Asia-Pacific community of shared future featuring openness, inclusiveness, innovative growth, interconnection, and win-win cooperation… China has always adhered to the original intention of APEC cooperation and provided Chinese solutions for countries in the region to cope with development challenges and promote common development .

To jointly promote the development of the Asia-Pacific, China has taken strong actions. The Chinese economy and the Asia-Pacific economy are interdependent and deeply integrated. China has become a major trading partner of many Asia-Pacific economies and an important node in the regional industrial and supply chains. In recent years, China and Asia-Pacific countries have achieved fruitful results in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road". The trial operation of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway in Indonesia was a complete success, the freight stations of the China-Laos railway were all opened, and the Golden Port Expressway in Cambodia was opened to traffic…China has helped the level of regional connectivity continue to improve, Inject new impetus into the recovery and development of the Asia-Pacific economy. China proposed the establishment of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the Silk Road Fund, created a new investment and financing platform, and donated 10 million US dollars to support the mechanism and capacity building of APEC and other measures, demonstrating its firm determination to give back to and benefit the Asia-Pacific. China has also worked with all parties to implement the "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement" with high quality, and promote the joining of the "Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement" and the "Digital Economic Partnership Agreement" to promote regional integration and development. China has taken concrete actions to let the world witness: Asia-Pacific economic cooperation has never been a zero-sum game, a political game where you lose and I win, but a development platform for mutual achievement and mutual benefit.

The development of China cannot be separated from the Asia-Pacific, and the prosperity of the Asia-Pacific cannot be separated from China. Last month, the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China was successfully held, pointing out the direction and planning the blueprint for China's development at present and in the future. In the new era and new journey, China will continue to share the opportunities of China's development with the world, especially the Asia-Pacific, and continue to write the "Asia-Pacific Miracle" hand in hand with members of the Asia-Pacific family.
