A passenger car fell into a ditch in southern Pakistan, killing 20 and injuring 13

Xinhua News Agency, Islamabad, November 18 (Reporter Jiang Chao) According to Pakistani media reports on the 18th, a bus traffic accident occurred on the evening of the 17th in Sindh Province in southern Pakistan, killing at least 20 people and injuring 13 others.
The report quoted local police sources as saying that when the bus was driving on a highway in the Sekhwan area of the province, it fell into a roadside ditch because the driver was speeding and did not pay attention to the roadblock signs. The injured have been sent to a nearby hospital for treatment, and some are in critical condition.
The police said that the highway where the incident occurred was blocked and diverted due to the flood, and the roadside ditches were previously dug to drain the accumulated water.
Traffic accidents occur frequently in Pakistan, mostly due to aging vehicles, overloading, poor road conditions, and lack of safety awareness of drivers.
