The data shows that the four indicators of the business climate index, manufacturing, services, trade and construction, all rose month-on-month.
Clemens Pfister, director of the Ifor Institute of Economics, said in a statement on the same day that although the interviewed companies have declined in satisfaction with the status quo of industry operations, their pessimism about the operations in the next few months has eased significantly. "The (economic) recession may not be as severe as many people expect."
The Iver Business Climate Index is regarded as a weathervane of German economic development and has important reference value for observing the German economic situation.
