Li Keqiang Holds China-Kazakh Prime Ministers' Meeting with Kazakh Prime Minister Smailov

Li Keqiang said that China and Kazakhstan are friendly neighbors. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties 30 years ago, bilateral relations have achieved substantial development, benefiting the two countries and the two peoples. In September this year, President Xi Jinping paid a successful visit to Kazakhstan, promoting new developments in China-Kazakhstan relations. China is willing to work with Kazakhstan to intensify high-level exchanges and communication at all levels, strengthen the docking of development strategies, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, and enhance coordination and cooperation in regional and international affairs, so as to push China-Kazakhstan relations to new heights and better maintain regional peace , stability and development.
Li Keqiang pointed out that China-Kazakhstan cooperation has a sound foundation, obvious complementary advantages, huge potential and broad prospects. It is hoped that the two sides will implement the intergovernmental economic and trade cooperation plan, speed up the negotiation and signing of the new version of the investment protection agreement and the production capacity and investment cooperation plan, improve the level of connectivity and the volume of goods passing through border ports, and promote the continuous improvement of bilateral trade. Energy cooperation is the ballast of pragmatic cooperation between the two countries. It is hoped that Kazakhstan will ensure a stable gas supply to China in accordance with the contract and increase the gas supply during winter as much as possible. China is willing to expand the import of high-quality green agricultural and livestock products from Kazakhstan. The two sides can explore new growth points for cooperation in fields such as finance and cross-border e-commerce. Strengthen people-to-people and cultural exchanges, enhance people-to-people bonds, continue to advance the negotiation process of mutual visa exemption, and better facilitate personnel exchanges between the two countries.
Smailov said that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to relations with China, and is willing to take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and China as an opportunity to deepen political mutual trust with China, implement intergovernmental economic and trade cooperation plans, and strengthen economic and trade, production capacity, energy, agriculture, connectivity, Exchanges and cooperation in humanities and other fields, enhance personnel exchanges, and promote the continuous development of Kazakhstan-China permanent comprehensive strategic partnership.
