Xinhua News Agency, Nairobi, November 25 (Reporter Zhu Shaobin) The "Second China-Africa Future Leaders Dialogue" hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and organized by the Shandong Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries was held online on the 25th, aiming to further promote Exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and African youths have deepened mutual friendship.
The theme of this dialogue is "Contributing Youth to Create a Better Future for Humanity", and it revolves around three topics, namely "Youth Perspective: The Cultural Gene for Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind", "Youth Vision: The World Significance of Chinese-style Modernization" and " Youth in Action: Living Practices in the Implementation of Global Development Initiatives". Nearly 300 youth representatives from 35 countries in China and Africa attended the online event.
Jiang Jiang, vice president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, said in his speech that history and reality have fully proved that China-Africa relations did not develop in a day, but were developed step by step by the people of both sides hand in hand for decades. China-Africa relations have withstood the test of international vicissitudes, and have formed a China-Africa community of destiny featuring "shared responsibilities, win-win cooperation, shared happiness, shared culture, shared security, and harmonious coexistence". He said that Chinese and African youth are the future of China-Africa friendship. He hopes that Chinese and African youth will take over the baton of China-Africa friendship, further strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and enhance mutual understanding.
Senegalese Ambassador to China Sila said in her speech that the future of the world depends on the young generation, so youth needs to be empowered. In terms of training young talents, China has too much rich experience that African countries can learn from.
In this dialogue, Chinese and African youth representatives shared topics and practical cases on Chinese and African traditional culture, experience in poverty reduction and alleviation, rural revitalization, medical aid to Africa and other topics and practical cases, and expressed their willingness to continue to inherit and carry forward the traditional friendship between China and Africa with practical actions. Contribute youth power to building a community with a shared future between China and Africa in the new era.
