Xinhua News Agency, Jerusalem, November 23 (Reporter Zhang Tianlang and Wang Zhuolun) Israeli police said on the 23rd that at least one person was killed and 18 others were injured in two consecutive explosions in Jerusalem that morning.
The Israeli police said in a statement that the interval between the two explosions was about half an hour, and they occurred successively at a bus station in the Givat Shaul neighborhood in West Jerusalem and near the Ramot intersection in East Jerusalem.
The police characterized the two explosions as "serial terrorist attacks", the investigation is still ongoing, and the national alert level has been raised.
Both explosions took place near the entrance of Jerusalem, and there was a lot of traffic during the morning rush hour. Affected by the explosion, Highway 1 entering Jerusalem was temporarily closed.
