The groundbreaking ceremony for the Technical Assistance Project (Phase I) of the China-Aid Suriname Agricultural Technology Cooperation Center was held in the Saramaka district of the country on the same day. At the groundbreaking ceremony, Shan Duoji thanked China for its assistance and said that in the context of climate change increasingly threatening agricultural production, the significance of agricultural technology development for ensuring food security has become more and more obvious. The Sudanese side looks forward to improving the level of local agricultural planting in Sudan with the help of the Chinese side, and will continue to deepen cooperation with the Chinese agricultural industry chain in the future.

Han Jing, the Chinese ambassador to Suriname, said at the ceremony that this is the second important cooperation project in the agricultural field that has been successfully implemented between the two governments within a year since the handover of agricultural machinery supplies from China to Suriname in May this year. China and the Soviet Union share a high degree of consensus on agricultural development and food security. In the future, China is willing to work with Sudan to continue to promote practical cooperation in agriculture and various fields under the framework of the "Belt and Road" initiative and the global development initiative.

According to Liu Dejun, the project leader of Hunan Linshi Agricultural Service Co., Ltd., the project implementer, the project plans to hold 10 intensive training courses, with a total of more than 300 people trained. In the first phase, a total of 10 experts were sent to Jiangsu to carry out experiments on crop introduction, breeding, breeding, cultivation, etc., as well as training and promotion of agricultural technology.
