Kim Yo Jong made a statement condemning the meeting of the Security Council to discuss the North Korean projectile issue

Yonhap News Agency, Seoul, November 22. Kim Yo Jong, the sister of Chairman of the North Korean State Affairs Commission Kim Jong Un and vice minister of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party, made a statement through the Korean Central News Agency on the 22nd, strongly condemning the UN Security Council meeting to discuss the issue of North Korea's intercontinental ballistic missiles. This is obviously a double standard, and the DPRK will resolutely deal with it.
Kim Yo Jong said that under the instigation of the United States, the UN Security Council held a so-called public meeting on the 21st to discuss our test launch of the newly developed "Hwasong Gun-17" intercontinental ballistic missile. It is a double standard for the UN Security Council to ignore the dangerous military drills and increased force against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea by the United States and South Korea (South Korea) while making an issue of North Korea’s exercise of its inviolable right of self-defense.
Kim Yo Jong said that these reckless actions of the United States and its vassal reactionaries are a serious violation of our autonomy and a serious political provocation attempting to push the situation on the Korean Peninsula (Korean Peninsula) to a volatile situation, which the DPRK strongly condemns. We will never tolerate any party criticizing us in safeguarding national security and exercising our right of self-defense, and will respond with super-strong measures. (Finish)
