Yonhap News Agency, Seoul, November 23. The 10th director-level negotiation between South Korea and China to discuss the demarcation of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EZZ) was held in Seoul on the 23rd.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea, this meeting was held offline for the first time since 2019 when the new crown epidemic broke out. Heads of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Energy, and the Marine Police Agency also attended the meeting.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the two sides had an extensive exchange of views on issues such as the demarcation of exclusive economic zones between the two countries.
Since 2015, South Korea and China have discussed the delineation of exclusive economic zones through vice-ministerial talks. (Finish)
