Yonhap News Agency, Seoul, November 23. The South Korean Presidential Office reported on the 23rd that President Yoon Suk-yue took a Mercedes-Benz instead of a Hyundai, the official concierge car, during his visit to Bali, Indonesia, for the G20 summit. Reports do not match the facts.
The spokesperson's office said in a media announcement on the same day that Yin Xiyue mainly took the official concierge car – Hyundai Genesis G80 during the trip to the official G20 event. However, considering the security environment and other factors, the bulletproof vehicles provided by the organizers were only used in specific sections.
According to the Presidential Office, while the Indonesian side provided the official courtesy car G80, it also provided bulletproof cars to some heads of state including South Korea. During this period, other major heads of state attending the summit also shared a mix of courtesy cars and armored vehicles.
According to local media reports, Yin Xiyue and his wife arrived at Bali Airport on the 14th local time and left in a Mercedes-Benz. Li Yuanxu, a member of the opposition Democratic Party, quoted the report on social media and said that Yin Xiyue should ride the excellent domestic electric car Genesis, which is the normal attitude of the head of the country where the official car of the event is produced.
