Hansa held a housing forum in Seoul to explore cooperation opportunities


Yonhap News Agency, Seoul, November 29th. South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Land) and the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Urban and Rural Affairs and Housing (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Housing) jointly held the "First Korea-Saudi Arabia Housing Cooperation Forum" in Seoul on the 29th.
Minister of Land and Infrastructure Won Hee-ryong visited Saudi Arabia on the 6th of this month and suggested that Saudi Housing Minister Majed Al-Hogail work together to create a platform for deepening housing cooperation between the two countries. Hou Geller responded to Yuan Xilong's proposal and facilitated the forum. In addition to Yuan Xilong and Hou Gaile, more than 200 entrepreneurs and experts attended the meeting.
The Ministry of Land and Resources, the Korea Land and Housing Corporation, the Housing City Guarantee Corporation, and the Korea Water Resources Corporation introduced the successful experience of urban development and housing policies in Korea. Large Korean companies such as POSCO, NAVER, and KT also introduced their main technologies. The Saudi side released major projects being advanced in the housing sector.
Yuan Xilong and Hou Gaile agreed to sign an upgraded version of the memorandum of understanding to expand the scope of cooperation to housing and smart cities. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman visited South Korea on the 17th of this month, and the two sides signed a memorandum of cooperation. (Finish)
