A stunning try from the All Blacks against South Africa has become one of the most-watched rugby videos right now.
The Rugby Championship is currently under way and in light of the tournament kicking off, clips of tries from years gone by between the sides have started doing the rounds online.
One in particular has racked up a massive 11 million views in just seven days on Instagram, with a further eight million on TikTok. The try took place in a match between the two Test match titans six years ago at the Japan World Cup.

It was the Pool B opener for the teams in Yokohama, and despite the fact South Africa would go on to win the whole tournament, it was New Zealand who took the spoils on September 21 with a 23-13 victory.
With the scores locked in at 3-3 with 23 minutes played, neither side had drawn first blood when it came to crossing the whitewash. However, the way in which the All Blacks unlocked the Springboks was something to behold.
Starting the move in their own 22 with a shanked cross-kick from Richie Mo’unga, the Kiwis put together a move of true class. Combining speed of ball with sharp support lines, it is a tremendous advert for the game we love.
The viral clip is backed by the iconic ‘Skyfall’ theme song from Adele, written for the James Bond film of the same name in 2012. The music and rugby paired together fits perfectly, making for an alluring watch.

“If you watched this video congratulations, you are now a rugby fan,” said one.
“This is peak athleticism. The amount of strength, stamina, speed and endurance here is more than any sport. People talk about soccer, wrong, rugby is it,” said another.
Try-scorer George Bridge is now 29 years old and has played in the Top 14 for Montpellier since 2022. He won six Super Rugby titles with Crusaders and was a regular starter for the All Blacks in 2019. However, he fell out of favour and has not played for them since 2021.
