And… we’re off! Hollywood’s awards season officially began with the announcement of the 2025 Golden Globes nominations.

Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut shared duties presenting the nominees in 10 categories — showcasing the best in film and television — on CBS Mornings on Dec. 9. The 17 other categories were shared on GoldenGlobes.com.

The film Emilia Pérez received the most nominations with 10. That included Best Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy, Best Director for Jacques Audiard, Best Actress for Karla Sofía Gascón and Best Supporting Actress for Zoe Saldaña and Selena Gomez. Gomez was also nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for her series Only Murders in the Building.

The Bear topped TV overall with five nods, including acting nominations for Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri.

Comedian Nikki Glaser will be hosting the 82nd annual Golden Globe Awards, which airs Jan. 5 on CBS and is the first major awards show of the season.

EGOT-winning actress Viola Davis will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award and Ted Danson will receive the Carol Burnett Award.
