3 MS Coast restaurants fail health inspections, with one failing for 9th time in 10 years

Three Biloxi restaurants were cited during the last two weeks for health violations.

Restaurants and kitchens in Mississippi are rated “A” if they pass the state health department inspection, “B” if all violations are corrected during the inspection and “C” if the violations are critical.

Since Nov. 21, health department inspectors scored 72 restaurants an A with no violations and seven a B.

These three restaurants were given a C:

Adventures Pub & Spirits at 132 Lameuse St., Biloxi, had a scheduled inspection on Dec. 2. It was cited for:

Not keeping required records available showing shell stock tags parasite destruction (records that show shellfish parasites have been destroyed).

No consumer advisory provided for raw or undercooked foods

Corrected during the inspection were:

Hands clean and properly washed

Food separated and protected

Food contact surface cleaned and sanitized

This is the ninth failing inspection out of 23 inspections at the restaurant since 2015. The restaurant also got a C in December 2024, and once or more every year from 2015 to 2020.

The Blind Tiger, 265 Beach Blvd., Biloxi, had a scheduled inspection Nov. 21.

It was cited for:

Hot and cold water not available at adequate pressure

Corrected during the inspection were:

Food separated and protected

Food contact surface cleaned and sanitized

Proper cold holding temperatures

Toxic substance properly identified, stored, used

A follow-up inspection on Dec. 2 showed no violations and the restaurant was given a B.

This is the fifth C in 22 inspections since 2015.

This was the fifth C dating back to 2017. The last Cs were in 2023

Waffle House, 1938 Beach Blvd., Biloxi, on the north side of U.S. 90 on the Biloxi strip was inspected Nov. 25 for a permit renewal. It was cited for:

Time as public health control, procedures, records, which limits the time a food can be kept at room temperature before it is used or discarded

This is the first C since 2017 and the third since 2010.
