From left to right: Angelina Rose Williams, Taylor Desiree Marvin-Brown and Robert Michael Michalski, Jr. were arrested in connection to a six-year-old’s mauling by a pit bull.

The 6-year-old boy had allegedly been restrained with handcuffs binding his hands and feet when a pit bull attacked him.

Responding to a 911 call, deputies arrived at the Savannah, Ohio, home that Saturday, Aug. 17, evening to find the child in serious condition with bites on his neck and ear, according to the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office. The boy – who is referred to as “D.M.” in court records obtained by PEOPLE – was quickly airlifted to the hospital.

His mother, Angelina Rose Williams, her boyfriend, Taylor Desiree Marvin-Brown and the owner of the dog, Robert Michael Michalski, Jr., have all been charged with felony endangering a child by administering corporal punishment, according to their online inmate rosters. The mom and her boyfriend are additionally charged with obstruction of justice by providing false information. Michalski, who is also the owner of the home, is additionally charged with tampering with evidence.

Williams had been living in Michalski’s home with one of his relatives, per investigators.

In the criminal complaints filed against the three adults and obtained by PEOPLE, prosecutors allege that the trio physically restrained D.M. “in a cruel manner or for a prolonged period,” leading to “a substantial risk of serious physical harm.”

Before deputies arrived that Saturday evening, Michalski allegedly “left the house” with his dog, according to the sheriff’s office.

Two days after the attack, during a search of the home, investigators found Michalski, “hiding in a cubby hole upstairs” with his dog, per the sheriff’s office.

The three were arrested Monday, Aug. 19, according to their inmate rosters. Michalski’s pit bull was also taken into custody “to be housed as a vicious dog,” per the sheriff’s office.

Williams, Marvin-Brown and Michalski are incarcerated at Ashland County Jail on cash/ surety bonds set between $150,000 and $300,000, per their inmate rosters.

It was not clear from their online court dockets if they had yet entered pleas to the charges. Williams is represented by Robert Rolf Whitney and Michalski is represented by Donald Keith Wick, neither of whom were immediately available for comment. A lawyer for Marvin-Brown was not listed in his online court docket.

All three are due for a criminal video appearance by Zoom on Friday, Aug. 23, with virtual hearings slated in 15-minute increments, starting at 9 a.m.
