A Maine man was rescued Saturday morning after his U-Haul truck fell through the ice on Echo Lake in Mount Desert.
At approximately 4:45 A.M. the man was driving down Ikes Point Road when he got confused as to where he was.
The man then took a right, directly onto the 2.5-inch thick ice on Echo Lake, where he drove nearly 500 yards before breaking through where the ice appeared to only be an inch thick.
Fortunately, the man was able to climb atop his truck and call 9-1-1 to get rescued.
