On January 1st, 2024, Indian accounts started posting fake news about Masood Azhar who is the chief of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), has been the subject of numerous rumors regarding his death. However, these claims have been debunked by multiple sources, including EMEA Tribune, which confirmed that Azhar is alive and well. The accounts are posting fake news and fake images. In another video Indian fake accounts are saying that Masood is killed at 5 am and showing video of afternoon of some other city. We have investigated the video and found that it was 7-8 years old video of KPK.

The TikToker Incident

A viral video and pictures of a TikToker Daniyal who tragically died in a car accident in Islamabad five years ago have been misused to propagate the false narrative that Masood Azhar has been killed. There is no authenticity to this claim, and it’s a clear case of misinformation.
