SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Two people were stabbed on the Pacific Beach boardwalk Sunday night, San Diego police said, leaving one with life-threatening injuries.

The incident occurred just before 11 p.m. in the area of 4400 Ocean Blvd. According to SDPD, a group of about six teenagers approached the two individuals — a 51-year-old man and his 23-year-old female companion — and entered into an argument with them.

During the dispute, one of the teenagers stabbed the woman in the knee, leading the man to step in, SDPD said. When he intervened, one of the teenagers stabbed the man in the back multiple times.
