ST. CLOUD — Police on Wednesday announced the identity of the body found near St. Cloud’s Tech High School. Officials found the body on Monday when the St. Cloud Fire Department responded to a nearby grass fire.
The deceased person has been identified as 26-year-old Mohamed Mustaf Mohamud of St. Cloud, according to a release. Officials, according to a release, determined Mohamud died as a result of the fire, with “no foul play” involved.
The St. Cloud Police Department received assistance from the St. Cloud Fire Department, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s office and the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
St. Cloud Police Chief Jeffery Oxton did not respond to inquiries from the St. Cloud Times.
