Tampa resident guns down man who entered house through window: police

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tampa police said they are investigating a deadly shooting that happened early Saturday morning.

Officers said at about 4:19 a.m., police responded to a burglary call at a home on South Bermuda Boulevard.

When they arrived at the home, they found a man in his 40s who was shot in the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the shooter told them he shot the man after he illegally entered his home through a window.

According to the department, the shooter cooperated with investigators, and there is no threat to the public at this time.
