Manchester United’s Premier League rivals Leicester City could help in the club’s hopes of selling Jadon Sancho in the current transfer window.
The winger’s future looks to be away from Old Trafford after a public falling out with manager Erik ten Hag last season. He spent the second half of the 2023/24 campaign on loan with former club Borussia Dortmund, helping them to the Champions League final.
Reports in Italy claim that Juventus are taking a strong interest in Sancho, but are not willing to meet United’s £40 million asking price. Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Juventus have spoken about a swap deal involving Federico Chiesa.

The Italian is available for transfer this summer and risks ‘becoming a plug’ in Juve’s transfer business with the club needing to raise funds for incomings. This is where Leicester could help.
The report goes on to add that if Chiesa does not move on, then Juve would have to instead sell Mathias Soule, who the Foxes have their eyes on. Reports claim that Leicester are ready to offer Juventus €25 million (£21m) plus add-ons for the winger, who impressed on loan with Fosinone, despite their relegation from Serie A.
Juventus are said to want a fee between €35 million (£29.45m) and €40 million (£33.66m). If they are willing to lower their asking price is still to be seen.
If Leicester can persuade Juve to cash in on the 21-year-old, then that would free up money for the Italian giants to get closer to the price that United are looking for for Sancho this summer.
It will therefore be a situation that United will be keeping a close eye on over the next few days and weeks. A domino effect could just be in place that benefits the club in getting the maximum fee possible for Sancho as they look for a sale.
