Another Indianapolis TV news anchor is signing off.
Lauren Casey, who has anchored WRTV-6’s Good Morning Indiana for seven years, announced her departure from the station Monday morning. Her last show will be Wednesday, she said in a Facebook post.
Casey reflected on her time with the station, which began 11 years ago when she was still a student at Franklin College.
“Over the years, the team here at WRTV watched me graduate college, marry my high school sweetheart and become a mom to two kids,” she wrote. “I got to work as a traffic reporter, multimedia journalist and for the last 7 years – the weekday morning anchor for Good Morning Indiana, with the most incredible team.”

While she didn’t share specifics on what’s next, Casey said she’s staying in Indianapolis.
“I’m giving up one dream to chase after another,” she wrote. “I’m so excited to share what I’ll be doing next, as it includes more storytelling in this community, but also more sleep and time at home with my family.”
