Former President Donald Trump made his first public appearance since his assassination attempt during the opening night of the RNC, where he officially received his party’s presidential nomination.

Happening today: Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is expected to give a speech on party cohesion, while other speakers will focus on immigration and crime under the day’s theme, “Make America Safe Once Again.” [AP]

It’s Amazon Prime Day. Anthony asked shopping curator Zainab Akande about the best deals the Yahoo Shopping team has seen.

Zainab: In my experience, not all Prime Day deals are good. Some of the most impressive ones I’ve seen so far include a 50-inch 4K smart TV for $210 and a $200 Nicebay hair dryer brush down to just $60.

Zainab: If you’re looking for a new blender, I’ll flag that this powerful Vitamix 5200 is down to its best price of the year — you can save $100 on it.

Zainab: I think Prime Day is actually the best time to save on Amazon devices (think: Fire TVs, Kindles, and Echo products). Right now, you can pick up a Fire TV stick for less than $20 — another all-time low.
