Coronation Street star Cait Fitton sweetly declared her love for Liam McCheyne as the good friends came together at a recent awards bash. The actors were both seen representing the ITV soap at the recent Radio Times Soap Awards.
They joined at the soap event, held at Manchester’s Midland Hotel, by co-stars Calum Lill (Joel Deering), Daniel Brocklebak (Billy Mayhew), Channique Sterling-Brown (Dee-Dee Bailey), Peter Ash (Paul Foreman), Paddy Bever (Max Turner), Jodie Prenger (Glenda Shuttleworth), Vicky Myers (Lisa Swain) and Charlie Wrenshall (Liam Connor).
They have since been taking to social media with snaps from the evening, from hitting the red carpet outside the historic city centre hotel to giving a glimpse inside from their very own Corrie table.

Sharing a string of snaps from the night, Liam, who plays Dylan Wilson in the ITV soap, simply wrote: “Soap Awards 2024!” in which he revealed his mum joined him for the special occasion.
Responding to the post, Lauren Bolton actress Cait said: “You looked so smart and your mumsy looked gorgeous.” Luca, meanwhile, said: “Suave,” as Jodie commented: “Love it!” Luca’s dad, Hits Radio host Mike Toolan, also added: “Looking sharp Liam.”
Alongside another post, Cait wrote: “Love you lots like…” as Liam shared a string of photos from a busy 24 hours for some of the ITV soap’s cast as they also attended their cast party dubbed the Coronation Street ”Summer Sizzler’. Liam replied: “Vodka shots,” with a crying laughing emoji.
Liam was quick to return the compliments to Cait when she shared her own photos from the event. She could be seen posing for the camera inside the Midland Hotel and looked gorgeous as she sported a long black gown, that boasted its own cape, before pulling her blonde locks into a curly up do and adding a slick of red lipstick to her lips.
Captioning her post, Cait wrote: “The Radio Times Awards 2024 @radiotimes. Makeup + Hair – @gillywalshy. Dress – @clubllondon.” Quick to respond, Liam said: “Gorgeous,” before more of their Corrie co-stars shared their thoughts.
Sally Carman-Duttine (Abi Webster) wrote: “Beauty,” as Elle Mulvaney (Amy Barlow) echoed: “Beauty.” Emrhys Cooper (Rown Cunliffe) shared: “Stunning darling.” Harriet Bibby (Summer Spellman) posted: “Amazing.”
However, Cait joked that there isn’t always love between the pair, and she shared some snaps that showed Liam giving her an unimpressed look as they posed for photos at the star-studded event. Captioning the post on her Instagram Story she wrote: “Get ya self a man who looks at you the way @liammcheyne looks at me [crying laughing emojis]. The look of disgust… I must’ve said something [crying emojis].
