3-year-old child pronounced dead after found unconscious in Chandler pool

A 3-year-old child died after being found unconscious in a Chandler pool on Wednesday night, police said.

Just after 7:20 p.m., Chandler police responded to a drowning call at a home near Ray Road and McClintock Drive.

The child was pulled from the pool and taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

It was unknown how long the child was underwater.

An investigation into the death remained ongoing as detectives were at the home learning more about the child.
