Emmerdale Gabby’s ulterior motive for Vinny romance ‘revealed’ – and he will be heartbroken

Emmerdale’s Gabby Thomas is playing smitten Vinny Dingle for a dark reason and is not actually interested in him, fans have predicted.

Soap favourite Vinny (played by Bradley Johnson) has gotten rather close with Gabby (Rosie Bentham) in the past few months – and recently, the pair took their friendship to the next level.

After sharing a kiss, Vinny was keen to pursue a new relationship, as well as lose his virginity. And after the wedding of Mandy (Lisa Riley) and Paddy (Dominic Brunt), Vinny and Gabby ended up sleeping together for the first time.

Since then, the pair have gone public with their romance – with Aaron (Danny Miller) pleased that his former brother-in-law has moved on two years after the death of Liv (Isobel Steele).

As well as her new village romance though, Gabby is also playing a part in the rather bitter divorce storyline involving Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) and Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy). Fans will recall that Jai and Laurel ended things due to his incessant dishonesty.

A heated argument led to Jai disrespecting Laurel’s late husband Ashley, shortly after which Laurel suffered a heart attack. Luckily recovering, Laurel then told Jai she wanted a divorce and the pair have been clashing ever since.

While continuing to butt heads, Jai has since turned against Laurel, attempting to ensure she gets nothing from him. As a result, Laurel and Gabby came up with the idea that they should buy his shares in The Hide.

Gabby then told Jai that his soon-to-be ex-wife is the new investor in the bistro – leaving him livid. However, amid Gabby’s venture into the business world and her new romance with Vinny, fans fear that she could be playing Vinny in a bid to get her hands on his money.

Over on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person said: “Watch this space. Gabby is going to get Vinny to buy into the Hide.”

Someone else replied: “I thought it was too good to be true! Poor Vinny.” Another person penned: “Yes I think she has something planned, a shame as they make a sweet couple.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
