Public asked to stay away from Community Medical Center due to ‘police activity’

TOMS RIVER – Community Medical Center was open again on Monday night after it was temporarily closed due to police activity at its campus on Route 37 and Hospital Drive.

“There is no threat to the community,” the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office said in a text alert at 7:08 p.m.
