Company that calls itself ‘the original’ cookie delivery service arrives in Kansas City

Tiff’s Treats — the “original” cookie delivery company — just opened six delivery outposts in the Kansas City area.

The company announced Tuesday that it will be sending its lemon sugar, chocolate chip, birthday confetti and other warm cookies across the metro. Its delivery zones include North Kansas City, Olathe, downtown Kansas City, Overland Park, Lee’s Summit and Lawrence, according to the company.

The cookies will be available 10 a.m. to 9:15 p.m. daily. Customers can sign up online to receive half-off their first order.

An assortment of a dozen cookies costs $24.

Tiff’s Treats began in 1999 in Austin, Texas, after Tiffany Taylor accidentally stood up Leon Chen on a date. She made Leon a box of warm cookies as an apology, and from there the couple hatched the idea to create a warm cookie delivery service.

What started on their college campus eventually grew to what it is today: 140 retail locations in Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, California, New Mexico and several other states.

“The world has fallen in love with Kansas City for a reason, and we are all-in on sharing our cookie kindness with such a vibrant community,” co-founder Tiffany Chen said in a media release. “We can’t wait to share our freshly-baked treats with families, friends, football fans, and students as they ramp up for a season of celebration.”
