As traditional, the medal table is sorted out by the number of golds achieved by each team. At Tokyo 2020, China led the Paralympics field with 96 golds, with Great Britain second on 41 and the United States third with 37. If any countries tie on the Olympic medal table, bronze and silver medals are then taken into account.

ParalympicsGB are hoping for the similar haul in Paris as at the delayed Tokyo Games, where they won 124 medals – UK Sport has set a target of 100-140 medals.

ParalympicsGB has never been outside the top five position of the medal table since the inaugural Games in Rome in 1960 – and has been a top three nation since Sydney 2000.

Here is the medal table with the top 10 nations – which will be updated at the end of each day.
