It has become a sort of tradition that each year, we embark on a new adventure to test out the latest EarthRoamer model. This time, we found ourselves winter camping in the majestic Colorado Rockies with the EarthRoamer SX-004, and this $1.1 million luxury camper is by far the most epic EarthRoamer yet.
We drove the EarthRoamer off the beaten path and parked next to a picturesque stream, surrounded by snow-covered pine trees and towering mountains. The view was incredible, but the real star of the show was the EarthRoamer itself. With its military-grade carbon fiber body, 100-gallon diesel tanks, and self-sufficient power system, itâs built for absolutely anything. The outdoor kitchen, winches, and off-road-ready tires added serious adventure potential, while the luxurious interiorâwith features like a California King bed, full kitchen, and even a washer/dryerâmade this feel like a five-star suite on wheels.
Any description we could write in no way does the EarthRoamer any justice, but weâll do our best to give you the down low on what itâs like to camp in a $1.1 million vehicle.
The Exterior that Turns Heads
The front of the EarthRoamer SX-004 has some serious cool factor. With the light bar that literally seems as bright as the sun, you can drive through the craziest of snowstorms in the middle of the night with no problem.
One of the most special things about the EarthRoamer SX is that the camper is made out of super-strong, military-grade carbon fiber. By âsuper-strongâ we mean that theoretically the camper could be dropped off the back of a military plane, hit the ground, and still be in one piece (EarthRoamer if youâre reading this, letâs do a YouTube video to put this theory to the test, okay?).

The 2 diesel tanks hold a total of 100 gallons of diesel, but the EarthRoamer can also power itself off of the alternator or the solar panels on the roof.
On the back of the camper, youâll find all the outdoor amenities youâll need to have the most epic outdoor adventures ever. The outdoor shower is perfect for hosing down after a particularly muddy mountain biking session and the gear garage is long enough to hold all your skis and snowboards.
An outdoor kitchen featuring a Traeger smoker and a Blackstone grill, paired with an outdoor backdrop of your choice, makes for one of the most beautiful kitchens to ever exist.
Inside the EarthRoamer: A Mobile Luxury Suite
Every single EarthRoamer is custom-built for the person buying it, so theyâre all slightly different to perfectly fit the ownerâs lifestyle and needs. So here is what you can generally expect to see inside this $1.1 million luxury camper:
Dining Room/Spare Bedroom
The dining room, with a spacious table that can seat up to 6 people, is the perfect place to enjoy a meal, watch a movie on the TV or play games with friends and family. Thanks to the camperâs Starlink WiFi, the dining room can also double as the Worldâs Best Office- answering emails and editing videos wasnât such a dull task with the view of the Rockies in the back!

Depending on how many people youâve brought along on your adventure, the table can be lowered and easily converted into a comfy California King or FOUR bunk beds.
The Kitchen
How many campers have you seen that feature granite countertops and a dedicated wine fridge? Weâre guessing not that many, which is what puts the EarthRoamer SX in a league of its own.
The EarthRoamer kitchen is not only the most beautiful camper cabin to ever exist, but itâs also uniquely designed to handle the roughest of off-road adventures. All of the silverware, glass cups, plates, and bowls fit perfectly into custom-built cabinets so that nothing slides around while youâre on the go.
Small little luxuries, like an instant hot water dispenser, espresso machine, and washer-dryer combo are built into the camper to add on an extra homey feel. Can you imagine skiing the Rockies all day and coming back to your camper for a piping hot espresso and toasty warm socks straight out of the dryer?
The Bathroom
EarthRoamer adds a lot of punch to a small space with its bathroom design. Here youâll find a full-length mirror, toilet, sink, and a rain shower. And yes, the shower has HOT water!
The Main Bedroom
The loft bedroom above the cab of the camper features another California King bed and is what we have dubbed the master bedroom. With wireless charging, USB, and USB-C on BOTH sides of the bed youâll never have to fight over outlets for charging all your devices. The loft features a total of 5 windows, including a skylight, perfect for stargazing when itâs just too cold to go outside. Oh, and thereâs another TV in case the one in the dining room is too far away.
Winter Camping Life in the Rockies
Unlike many other campers, including the Sprinter van we usually live in, the EarthRoamer SX is 100% winterized and allowed us to enjoy winter life in the Rockies without worrying about our water tank freezing or our battery dying.

Taking advantage of the EarthRoamerâs ability to be completely self-sufficient, we were able to avoid the winter break crowds and go places that few people ever get to see. We skied, swam in the icy river, and barbequed in our outdoor kitchen with the birds being our only company.
Every year, we leave our EarthRoamer adventure looking forward to the next one, when we get to see what new incredible upgrades they come up with to make this adventure ever more epic and luxurious (if thatâs even possible).
