Fall foliage tracker: Are leaves changing in the Hudson Valley?

October is officially here, and that means fall colors are finally becoming more common in the Hudson Valley.

The I Love NY fall foliage tracker allows visitors to monitor autumn leaf progress every week during the fall season, with the latest report posted on Oct. 2. Leaf progress is color-coded, with green showing “no change” in foliage progress, yellow showing that leaves are “just changing”, and scaling all the way to dark red for “past peak” foliage.

Foliage progress is reported statewide by volunteers that typically include a location and photo with their observation.
