Princess Beatrice ‘brokenhearted’ over Amazon series and makes Andrew decision

Princess Beatrice is reportedly “brokenhearted” and has made a decision to steer clear of her father’s home after an Amazon series.

The Duke of York was catapulted back into the limelight following ‘A Very Royal Scandal’, a three-part documentary on Amazon that revisits Prince Andrew’s notorious 2019 Newsnight interview.

Simultaneously, King Charles finds himself embroiled in a dispute with his brother over the future of the £30million Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, where the Duke currently resides with his former wife, Sarah Ferguson.

King Charles is believed to be eager for Prince Andrew to vacate the Royal abode in favour of more modest accommodations, as the Duke reportedly grapples with the hefty £400,000 yearly upkeep costs.

Amidst these ongoing issues, an insider confided to New Idea magazine that Beatrice has been consciously avoiding her parents’ lavish home, tired of the constant embarrassment, as reported by the Express, reports Aberdeen Live.

The source stated: “It’s a stress-hole there and for some reason, Beatrice always gets stuck in the middle of things, playing peacemaker on behalf of her dad.

“She doesn’t want to be doing that anymore and she recognises it’s been a pattern all her life. No-one wants to be around him when he’s dealing with so much right now. Beatrice is broken-hearted, of course.”

Additionally, they mentioned that the ordeal is particularly challenging for her given her close bond with her father, describing her as a “daddy’s girl”. She is purportedly “desperately” wishing for the turmoil surrounding the Amazon TV series to come to an end.

‘A Very Royal Scandal’, depicted Ruth Wilson as ex-BBC journalist Emily Maitlist and Michael Sheen as Prince Andrew, hinting that Princess Beatrice played a role in setting up the infamous interview, which left her “devastated”, according to a source quoted in New Idea.

On Sky News Australia, News Corp columnist Angela Mollard discussed the series with host Gabriella Power, highlighting Andrew’s infamous “one-liners”, including his claim that he cannot sweat.

Angela also touched on the controversy surrounding Royal Lodge and its impact on Beatrice and Eugenie, suggesting that Andrew should consider vacating the property for the sake of his daughters, who have “already been stung”.

Although Andrew holds a lease on Royal Lodge until 2078 and initially wanted to pass it down to his daughters, he has reportedly been advised against this plan. However, Beatrice and Eugenie may have a silver lining, as their mother, the Duchess of York, reportedly owns a £4m house in Mayfair, according to the Scottish Daily Express.

Buckingham Palace has been contacted for comment.
