Strictly Come Dancing fans were left fearing for Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola after their emotional return to the ballroom. The pair were the second couple to perform as the hit dance show returned on Saturday night (October 12).
It was another emotional night for Sarah who, after dedicating her Harry Potter-themed Movie Week performance last weekend to Dame Maggie Smith following the legendary actress’ death last month, performed to a song close to her heart.
She and Vito danced a Foxtrot to Birds Of A Feather by Billie Eilish but ahead of their perforamnce, Sarah broke into tears as she spoke about the importance of the song to her.

“What does this song mean to you?” Italaian dancer Vito asked to which actress Sarah said: “It’s about my family and it’s about me and my little one,” before fighting tears.
“This song is special to us because we sing it together and we have a little picture of us both as birds that we made together… It would be really lovely to show how I feel in the dance.” Vito added: “I promise you I will do my best in order to make sure the dance will resprsent your relationship.”
But as the pair went on to take to the floor, Strictly fans were concerned. @justnaomiyeh said: “Not my beloved Vito and Sarah in the death slot #strictly.” @notthatpoppy commented: “Now why’d they put sarah and vito in the death slot… #Strictly.” @@liama123_ wrote: “SARAH & VITO IN DEATH SLOT?? #strictly.”

But @BosettKay vowed: “#Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing Sarah and Vito will defy the death slot….” @Katie91_ added: “Sarah will beat the death slot she’s the people’s princess #strictly.”
