Strictly Come Dancing fans have demanded that Vito Coppola be ‘protected at all costs’ as his sweet gesture was exposed by Dianne Buswell – and left them crying.
Both the professional dancers, who are teaming up for their own UK tour next year, are currently competing in the BBC One dance contest with their respective partners Sarah Hadland and Chris McCausland.
But as well as what is happening on the famous Strictly ballroom floor each weekend, fans are often intrigued to discover what is going on behind-the-scenes and it was Dianne who delivered the good with her latest social media post.
In the video, the Autralian dancer could be seen alongside Italian star Vito who revealed he had brought his own stove top to the studio. But it wasn’t just the portable stove but all his utensils so he could stick to a promise he made to Chris.
Dianne is heard saying Vito has made a homemade bolognese but Vito interrupts to share more details about his latest creation in the kitchen, which comes weeks after viewers saw him winning Celebrity MasterChef 2024, which he said he’d been lovingly making until 2am that morning.
“Honestly Vito, you are genuinely one of a kind!” Dianne said before Vito packed up and headed off to the food area where he could set up. Dianne then filmed him in action, during which he struggled to figure out how to use the stove after he had bought it especially for that occasion and it arrived the previous day.
He then finished off the dish before plating it up and hand delivering it to Chris in his dressing room. “Is this my Deliveroo?” the comedian is heard asking with a smile on his face as Dianne told him Vito had been “cooking up a storm” just for him. “My goodness man,” Chris said as he embraced Vito. “Do you like it?” he asked as Chris said: “Delicious!”
Alongside the post, Dianne explained: “The perks of being friends with the master chef winner. So Vito asked Chris in a conversation what his favourite meal was Chris said I love a bolognese … the following week this happened @chrismccauslandcomedy.”
And fans rushed to respond with praise for Vito. @theparkin4 said: “Protect Vito at all costs! What an absolute gem of a human being.” @debhartin_nutrition commented: “How the hell does someone cooking bolognese have me crying.” @emmaruthcox wrote: “Chris and Vitos friendship is so adorable.”
