Oct. 27—BELFIELD, N.D. — A body was found in a field along the south side of Interstate 94 two miles west of Belfield on Friday, Oct. 25, the Stark County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Law enforcement officials are working to identify the person and the circumstances surrounding the incident, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The incident does not appear to be connected to a missing man, Keith Schmidt of Dickinson, N.D., the release said.
The case remains under investigation by the Stark County Sheriff’s Office and the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
